What a superb trip to see the Clubs new children/smaller paddler Axiom 6.9 being produced at Palm. It was a delight to see 20 club members from 8 to “too old to tell” years age range.
Director Bob Slee made us most welcome and was thoroughly entertaining. An insight into production methods and things going on in our sport was very educational. He also made magic by producing pasty’s and sausage rolls from the line oven!
Damon and Evan Watts designed the artwork and we watched the talented Palm moulders bring the boat to life. Bob presented a prize to the two boys.
Jess Longley won the new Palm T Shirt for remembering technical data. It was lovely that a young female paddler beat even the 3 PhD’s in the group.
Daniel Straus amused us all by trying to destroy the recycled plastic boat with a hammer. It might be made of old plastic but its very strong. Its good to know that Palm are taking recycling seriously.
We were excited to learn the news that Palm are going to build the Olympic course for Tokyo.
Big Thanks to all the staff at Palm.
