Pool Sessions
Pool sessions run from 16.30 to 18.00 on alternate Saturdays (see dates). These sessions are great for practicing rescues, rolling, support strokes and anything else where warm clear water is useful. Come to a pool session ready to learn new skills - particularly static skills and rescues.
There are two sessions, on the water at 16.30 and 17.15, so you should arrive around a quarter of an hour early to get changed and ready.
Booking
Charges are £5 for one session or £8 for both.
. Bookings will be taken on a ‘first come first served’ basis, with priority given to Coaches wanting to train in the second 45 minute session. Club Members must confirm their booking by 6pm on the Friday night. Club Members will be advised that if they make a booking, and then do not turn up for the Pool Session, they will still be required to pay.
Program:
There may be special sessions with a specific purpose (e.g. big boats, rescues, polo - suggestions always welcome) but the standard program will be as follows:
First session : Adults Session : half the pool dedicated to rolling/support practice and coaching, with the deeper end for free practice.
Second Session : Family Session : one end will be free for practice, while games or other activities will operate at the other end.
Rolling Clinics
Some sessions will be designated as rolling clinics, where the entire focus will be on teaching people to roll. These will have restricted numbers, coaches to help refine a roll, and helpers to flip potential rollees back over.

Boats:
We move a portion of the fleet to the pool for the winter. You can borrow a boat for a pool session at no additional cost. Please collect and return your boat to the storage locker at the deep end of the pool.
If you are bringing your own boats:
- make sure they are clean (i.e. spotless - including everything behind the seat). Any dirt will get washed out and clog the pool filters.
- please let us know when booking that you'r bringing your own boat (10ft maximum length unless by prior arrangement).
- when arriving at the pool, go round the left side to the fire door at the bottom of the ramp to the pool. Be really careful going up the slope to the pool - it's lethal when wet.
